About  Magda Sokol - face behind Shedevelops

I'm Magda: Webflow developer, yoga teacher, and your tech translator

I burnt out. Then I built something better.

My mix:

front-end and automations skills, project management logic,

a therapist-level emphatetic ear.

Here’s the real story behind SheDevelops

How did it all start:

June 1992 – Born in Lithuania
Came out with strong opinions and a need for artistic performance. When asked what I wanted to be when I grow up:
Arrow

"Artystka ze spalonego teatru." - An actress from a burned-down theatre.
(Yeah, we still don’t know what that means either.)

2000s – Camping, teaching, scheming
Childhood = tent life, Slovakian mountains, and trying to sell my homemade "magazine" in first grade for 50 cents. It failed when the assistant principal shut it down.

2009–2013 – Studying English Philology
No idea what to study, so picked what I was already good at: languages and essays. Vilnius University taught me how to survive academic nonsense and gave me opportunity for Erasmus program in Italy and work in Hawaii.

Also: a lot of hostel, shop, and hotel customer service jobs in Lithuania, the U.S., and Canada.

Learned how to talk to anyone. Also learned I never wanted to work reception again...

2017 – Berlin & First Yoga Class
Moved to Berlin and stepped into my first Vinyasa class. Instantly hooked - started the "yoga chapter."

Did two yoga teacher trainings in India, taught yoga in Indonesia, Goa, the Philippines since then

2020 – Rishikesh + Full-Stack Dev
2020 was definitely a weird year....
Started it in Rishikesh doing a yoga teacher training.
Then pandemic kicks in.

Ended up backin Berlin doing a 1-year full-stack coding course via Agentur für Arbeit.

Life change? 100%.

2021 – First tech job (and burnout)
Landed my first web dev job at a digital agency.
Quickly realized being a junior dev = endless debugging and mental exhaustion.

Switched to project management.
Got a burn-out.

But started to be interested in no-code tools.
Especially Webflow. Fell in love with how it made ideas real without needing to code from scratch

2023 – Awwwards conference + Webflow love story
A corporate-sponsored trip to Amsterdam turned into a revelation: No-code is the future. Webflow can do almost everything.
And it looks good.

Slowly getting obsessed.

2024 – Yin yoga, fake it til you make it, and freelancing
🚀 “I’m an introvert who lives an extrovert’s life.”
Got a start-up grant from the German government.

Started building websites and giving SEO advice to friends, family, and anyone who needed help getting found online.

Figured out how to turn a mix of emotional intelligence (hi empathy!), tech skills, and a love of clarity into real, paid client work.

I stopped thinking about ‘doing what I love,’ and started thinking about how to manage my energy and give more. Without burning out.

Can’t do a headstand? Use a chair. That’s the same approach I use in my work: props like AI, friends, systems, and partnerships to support my freelancing journey.

2025 – Real clients, real invoices, real freedom

Birth of SheDevelops:

Got my first big gig with Giang - a mother of two and spiritual female coach.
She sent €1000 upfront. I almost cried from happiness. And realized: I can make this work.

Now I build websites for women-led businesses with too many ideas, too little time, and a tendency to overthink.
(Trust me, I know the type. I am one of them.)

I also started teaching Yin yoga and sound at the fanciest studio in Berlin, Ohia.
I said YES without a certification. Action comes first. Confidence follows.

That’s balance, baby.

I work with women who have too many ideas, too little time, and too much going on in their heads.I turn that chaos into websites that actually convert.

Magda Sokol

SOKOL 🦅

noun

[so-kohl]
Falcon, in many Slavic languages.
A symbol of strength, freedom, and vision.
Maybe I was meant to fly high all along :)

(My last name, Sokolovič, includes “Sokol”. Makes sense now, right? )

Today, I work where I feel most alive.

Libraries & coworking spaces in Berlin. Beach cafés in Goa.

This is what SheDevelops was built for:
Freedom. Flow. And function that supports your vision.

This is the freedom I always wanted.
And now I help other women-led businesses create it for themselves.
